'NEW' Extended Opening Hours for Working Patients
In response to our patient survey, Dr Kilpatrick & Partners, The Country Practice started extended hours on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
Pre-bookable appointments of 15 minutes will be available to see your doctor on:
Kibworth - Mon/Wed/Fri from 7.30 am - 8.00 am
Harborough - Tues/Thurs from 7.30 am - 8.00 am
Alternate Saturday morning at Market Harborough, 8.00 – 11.15am
This clinic will be for pre-bookable appointments only and will be available four weeks in advance. Should you wish to book one of these appointments please speak to one of our receptionists at the relevant surgeries.
Please note, these appointments are principally intended for our working population who struggle to attend in normal working hours. During this service the doors are locked and the receptionist will allow entry to patients who have pre-booked.
Out of Hours
If you need to see a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed please phone the surgery and follow the instructions. You will be put through to the ‘out-of-hours’ service on behalf of Leics County & Rutland PCT. They will pass a message to the doctor on duty who may phone you to assess your problem. You might be asked to attend the out-of-hours clinic, or receive a home visit.
Alternatively you can phone NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or visit their website at www.nhsdirect.co.uk. NHS Direct offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day. It can advise you whether you need to go to the nearest A&E (accident and emergency) or if there is an alternative such as visiting an NHS walk-in centre.
For deaf people and those hard of hearing, a telephone service is available on 0845 606 4647. If English is not your preferred language, you can choose to use a confidential translation service. Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, dial 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
